Features & Benefits
Superior Processing Efficiency
Covestro Makrolon 2407’s low viscosity ensures fast mold filling and shorter cycle times, reducing production costs. Ideal for complex geometries like thin-walled housings or connectors.
Exceptional Impact Resistance
With >120% strain at break and Charpy notched impact up to 65 kJ/m² (23°C), it withstands drops and impacts in automotive components, power tools, and consumer electronics.
Reliable UV & Thermal Stability
UV stabilization and heat resistance (RTI 125°C per UL 746) ensure long-term durability outdoors. Perfect for LED covers, sensors, and industrial enclosures exposed to sunlight or heat.
Use & Applications
- Injection-Molded Industrial Parts: Housings, covers, and enclosures requiring clarity and toughness.
- Electrical Components: Connectors, switches, and circuit breakers (UL-recognized RTI 125°C).
- Consumer & Automotive: Tool handles, dash components, and outdoor fixtures (UV-stabilized).
- General-Purpose Engineering: Prototypes, fasteners, and mechanical parts needing cost-effective durability.
