Makrolon 2865 PC Resin Flame retardant grades

Makrolon 2865 by Covestro is a flame-retardant, medium-viscosity PC resin ideal for injection molding. With an MVR of 10 cm³/10 min (300°C/1.2 kg), UL 94V-2 compliance (1.5 mm & 3.0 mm), and easy-release properties, it excels in safety-critical applications. Available in transparent, translucent, and opaque colors.

Self-extinguishing UL 94V-2 rating (1.5–3.0 mm) and Glow Wire Ignition (GWFI) up to 960°C (3.0 mm). Ideal for electrical components needing fire resistance.

Effortless Processing

Medium viscosity (MVR 10 cm³/10 min) and easy mold release reduce cycle times. Optimized for injection molding (280–320°C melt temp).

Optical Clarity & Versatility

88–89% light transmission (1–3 mm thickness) and <0.8% haze. Suitable for transparent housings, lenses, and tinted industrial parts.
