Makrolon 2658 Polycarbonate Resin Medical Devices Uses

Makrolon 2658 is a medium-viscosity Covestro PC resin engineered for medical devices. Biocompatible (ISO 10993-1), it withstands ETO/steam sterilization at 121°C and offers easy mold release. Available in transparent/opaque colors—ideal for injection-molded healthcare components.

  • Character: MVR (300 °C/1.2 kg) 12 cm³/10 min; medium viscosity; easy release; biocompatible according to many ISO 10993-1 test requirements; available in transparent and opaque colors
  • Application: Injection molding; Medical devices; suitable for ETO and steam sterilization at 121 °C
