Makrolon 1804 PC Resin Flame Retardant Grade

Covestro’s Makrolon 1804 is a high-viscosity, flame-retardant polycarbonate resin optimized for extrusion. With MVR 6.0 cm³/10 min (300°C/1.2kg), UL 94V-2 ratings (1.5mm/3.0mm), UV stabilization, and low plate-out, it delivers durable, transparent solid sheets for demanding industrial applications.

  • Strength & Durability: Tensile modulus 2400 MPa, yield stress 65 MPa, and >50% strain at break.
  • Thermal Resilience: HDT 127°C (1.8 MPa); Vicat softening 149°C.
  • Electrical Safety: CTI 225, volume resistivity 1E14 Ω·m.
  • Optical Clarity: 89% luminous transmittance (1mm); haze <0.8% (3mm).
  • Processing: Melt temp 300°C, mold temp 80°C; density 1200 kg/m³.
